Build Process

Interview Phase:

At John Allan Custom Builders we believe that before you can ever make a decision on who will build your dream home, we need to first create a relationship that is comfortable and based on trust. We will spend as much time as necessary to assist you in determining your needs. We will visit our communities and previously built homes so that you will feel free to ask as many questions as possible. John Allan Custom Builders will do the work to become familiar with your desires for your home, creating a comfortable fit in a relationship designed to build.

Design Phase:

John Allan Custom Builders is proud to have the opportunity to design and price your new home. During the design process we will take all of the information you have provided to us and with our architect we will create and price the home. By using John Allan Custom Builders you can get this done at a fraction of the cost of going to most private architectural firms.

Contract Phase:

Once your plans are a 100% complete we will do pricing once again to ensure all costs have been accounted for based on the construction set of prints and your specifications. This ensures not only the value of your home but also one last chance to sit down and make sure nothing has been over looked. At this time, we are ready to finalize everything and begin the build phase.

Build Phase:

This can be one of the most exciting phases in the process! This is where your dreams start to become a reality! This can also be a stressfull phase, but with our relationship designed to build we will be with you every step of the way. From assisting in selections through our decorators, to answering scheduling questions, or just getting together on regular basis to discuss how we are doing and what is happening next until the day you close. Some people are very involved and others have a tendency to sit back and watch. Regardless, John Allan Custom Builders will cater to your every need during this process.

The Final Phase:

Your home is completed, you’ve moved in, and are enjoying your John Allan Custom Home!! Other than warranty, this is where most builder relationships end. Believe it or not, our relationship is not over. In addition to your 10 year limited warranty we would like to hear from you. From assisting us with feedback on how we did, to allowing us to photograph your home, and helping you with questions on maintenance or recommendations for future projects, John Allan Custom Builders would like to see our relationship designed to build, last long in to the future.
